I don't have your background in trading, but I've felt exactly the same for a while now. No matter how you look at it, every trend you could possibly identify is heading towards destruction, or dissolution, or balkanization, or The Big One, or 100 other words for "The End". No two ways about it.
What's really sick is I have little choice but to jump right into a career that, if things ever get hot, will put me right in the thick of things. It's this or stop paying attention... like that would ever happen.
There is always a necessity for smart, enterprising young individuals. There is always an opportunity to fire in one direction and recalibrate. It’s been something I’ve only understood recently, and it’s natural — we think in our teens and 20s that every decision is a critical one, simply due to the fact that the % of life we’ve lived is so small, and agency impacts such a large percentage of it in real time. As you get to your late 20s and 30s, the whole idea of NPV and NFV makes more sense. There is always, always another bubble unless we are at world war. And when you poke the right people, they’re not going to forget that you exist. Every generation needs a younger replacement. I write a lot of doomer posts, to get it out of my head, but I never blackpill for this reason. There’s just too much to live for in the age of tech
