Every time I go through the remnants of 2021 mania, I am simply staggered by the level of collective stupidity that people bid on. Every example is dumber and more mind boggling than the last. https://www.coindesk.com/business/2022/04/13/jack-dorseys-first-tweet-nft-went-on-sale-for-48m-it-ended-with-a-top-bid-of-just-280

How strange the mind can be when choosing what to remember and not to remember. I recall that nonsense too (probably Bloomberg.com). Why remember it? Probably because it induced a fit of ROFLOL bordering on epileptic. That said, it describes a 'constant' of human behavior, making your knowledge of it valuable. Another potential reason my middling-mind remembers that same 'textual event', something of no more material substance in my physical existence than virtual ink on a virtual newspaper sheet, is/was the magnitude of the "stupidity" raises it into the realm of the "exception to the rule." The meat and potatoes, the click-bait if you will, of financial 'journalism' is the notable "exception." Why do we learn to crave the Matt Levine's or Javier Blas at Bloomberg.com? Because, every once and a while, and very importantly, randomly, they teach us about what really matters: "the general" of the rule. See,

Z-man is playing this nonsense like Amadeus. I wish I could of been a fly on the wall of his cranial vault when he first heard this idiotic proposal and then realized, "whatever the hell are these chaos monkeys talking about let's run with it boys!" What's the 'eternal' unchanging human truth here? See,

Of course, there is a reasonable chance, if only because the sheer "stupidity" of it all leaves the mind flabbergasted and grasping for some thread of the rational to glom onto, the purported victims here are only interested in the 'good headlines' of an agreement. If that is the 'Truth' of it, then it actually could be slightly reassuring, but, for the fact, we've heard this genre of BS explanation/excuse (always during the clean-up spin cycle phase of damage control) too many times before haven't we. Anyway, the real joke being, the "purported victims" are not the actual victims. The actual/intended victims of the initiator (US pols and spin-lackeys) of said nonsense are their supporters/voters who desperately want to believe they weren't duped. I believe PE finance calls this "payment-in-kind." Is it merely coincidence "PIK" in this case sounds just like the favorite tool of Capitalism's (and every other -ism since before old Ötzi caught some other miner's arrows probably while trying to spy out the source of the copper nuggets he'd heard tell of in the spring runoff ... some things never change ;D) notorious Canadian Junior Miners of days past (and SPAC present)? Anyway, Ukraine is not the victim in any monetary sense, for the simple reason that the US will never see a single lump of ore out of this 'deal.' It appears it only took Z-man about 24 to 48 hours to 'get it' and play along. If that scrappy little comedian lives to die a natural death, then he deserves to go down as one of the Greatest War Time Leaders in F---ing History.
